Valentine treats and party

We had a nice little getaway this valentine's day weekend.  It was short, and went fast, but well worth it.  Had a lovely date night on Saturday night with my dear sweet Hubby, and then on valentine's day we gave gifts to the kids (we usually don't do anything more than dinner out for each other on Valentine's, and that's okay).

Here is what Miss A8 got.  A bedazzler.  She was more than excited to get this, and already here in the picture is a doll shirt that she bedazzled with a heart.  The blue thing is a folded up tote bag to decorate and letters to put on that bag, and of course it will be dazzled too!

This is the little wooden ambulance that Mr. A3 received:

He loved it, and he also got a travel aqua doodle:

Here is the fire engine truck that Mr. A1 received:

These trucks were a huge hit with the boys!  Mr. A1 also got a silly submarine for the bath that isn't pictured yet.

Before Valentine's day, I mentioned that we had a preschool valentine's party.  Well, here are some pictures from the party, but first lets take a look at the cards for the occasion:

These are the ones that A3 made.  He wanted bubble wrap, and dog paper.  Hmmm, this took some creativity, but we made it work!  Let me note that he helped make EVERY valentine (that's how much he loved his bubble wrap valentine).  I think they turned out cute, hmm?

These are the cute valentine's that A8 would have handed out, but we had some technical difficulties.  They are cute aren't they?  Turned out to be a great decoration because they were made of glow lights, and as we were making them they kept cracking which makes them start glowing which means that they would lose their glow by the time the party came around which means they lost their pizazz....  So, we ended up buying laffy taffy ones instead.

Here's the cute little valentine's party, they are making bags for all their valentine's:

All the bags, loved the decorations!:

Miss A8 couldn't do much, and still can't with that darn broken ankle.  It sure is healing slow!  Here she is posing with her best friends, crutch 1 and crutch 2:

Everyone enjoying a pink frosted heart cookie:

I love Valentine's day, and thanks Angela for the fun party!
Home schooling one day at a time--as long as it takes
