Tot school--letter G

Tot School

Sir A3 is 3 years  9 months old
Mr. A1 is 18 months old

This week's tot school was mostly just a lot of fun and chaos all at the same time.  Maybe that's how your tot school is too?  Anyway, the letter of the week was G.  We had G is for golf:

Mr. A3 pounding golf tees into styrofoam

See the word golf on the yellow piece of paper, he was supposed to put that word up on his chart, but decided to put holes in it instead.

A1 played golf

He enjoyed this activity a lot

He mostly just liked pushing the golf caddy around.

A3 poking the letter G with a giant pin

The favorite activity of the week!

The parachute!
This is new to us, our first morning we tried it, it was a hit.  Here is A1 just running around in circles around A3, it was too funny.  I was getting balloons to blow up and put in the middle to make them bounce around the parachute.

More circles around A3, he was litterally doing circles for about 5 minutes!

Here's A3 in the middle doing his aquadoodle

Now we are ready to start!

A1 mostly just liked sitting on it while we made it fly!

It was hard to get it to fly real well with just A8 and I on the outside, but we made it work.  The boys had a blast.

They absolutely loved going under when we made it go high up in the air

New setup!

Well, I am trying something new, and so far I love it.  We were getting cramped in our tiny computer/school room so I moved everything out to the living room.  Now that all 3 kids have their own desks we need more room to spread out!  I think it's nice to be out of the "cave".  The kids like it too!

Here is A8's desk and boxes on the left, A3 next to her with his boxes on the right, and A1's trays and little table on the far right.  It's not the ideal set up, but I'm happy with it for now.

Here is some cutting practice for A3

This is an activity that was unplanned, but A1 loved.  He is putting stickers on the balloon.  This boy loves stickers, and puts them everywhere, so usually I have to grab the nearest paper or junk mail for him to put stickers on.  In this case it was a balloon, it works :-)

OKay, yes, he is watching a baby first impressions movie here.  I try not to keep the tv on during school time, but when the toddler is bored he is into all sorts of terrible 2's.

This is a new tot school tool.  I found these eggs at amazon, they crack, squeak, match and sort.

The insides are different colors

Even Mr. A3 was very curious about these.  He loves eggs, and thought these were pretty neat.

Automoblox.  I love these things, and so does A3.  He got a new pink one, and here they are all mixed up.  But, he can put them back in order so easily by matching the colors of the pegs.

More letter g.  This activity was intended for A3 but he didn't want to have anything to do with it!  Ha!  Well, this little guy loved it.  He has an obsession with lining things up in a line, and here he is showing his talent.

And, the big G

So, instead of putting the color blocks on the g's here is what A3 came up with.  Always marching to the beat of his own drum :-)

I like your set up. I have been trying to decide where to set up out tot school and am thinking even with 1 the more room, the better.
