We decided to take a trip to the coast
last a few weekends ago and stay in a yurt for a night. It was pretty amazing weather, and a very much needed getaway. The kids loved staying in a yurt because we usually have our trailer for camping, so it was a special treat. Although, we left the yurt appreciating the luxuries our trailer holds like a bathroom for middle of the night needs, and enough beds for everyone, and running water, and cooking facilities. We roasted hot dogs in the rain, but really it wasn't that bad. It was such a fun adventure, and the kids loved it. We also had some amazing educational opportunities. How can you not have some great educational opportunities at the beach? There's so much over there to explore and learn! We went to the tide pools, a lighthouse, the Oregon coast aquarium, and walked along the beach. I love the sound of the waves and the ocean! It brings me peace, reminds me of the awesome power of God, and helps me to sort out life sometimes. I needed to hear those waves, and spend some great time with my family.
The weather was also amazing. One minute it was sunny, then it was stormy, then rainy, then misty, then sunny again. It was beautiful. I love the stormy looking sea...
Here's our trip in pictures. They speak for themselves. Enjoy (there are lots of them, sorry couldn't leave any out)...
