We had a good time at Marc's house ringing in the new year and spending a few days with him in Seattle. He has a new house with a hot tub, and room to sleep! For those who don't know who Marc is, he is Michele's brother. We went to the museum of flight (which ended with some grumpy kids), and April and I got to go to The American Girl store, something she has been wanting to do for about 3 years.
I didn't plan much for the kids to do on New Year's eve, aka a party, and apparently that was a big mistake. April kept asking when the party was going to start, and what are we gonna do? I had to say "eating and lounging around was it". That didn't fly with her, so next year we'll have to have more of a party I guess. Hey, we had noise makers and pretty glittery 2012 signs...
At 9pm Pacific time (12am Eastern time) we rang in the new year so we didn't have to be up all night. Here's Aric. He loved it, and kept asking the next day if it was still new years.
Here's April with her happy new year, but I still think we should have had a big party look. Sorry sweetie! Maybe next year.
And, Aaron, who didn't want to go to bed.
It was loud with 4 noise makers!
Alexander looks like he is smiling here, but he wasn't so sure about all the noise.
Happy New Year!!
