The oldest person in our family turned one year older in March!
We had a lot of fun celebrating his birthday over the course of a few days. His birthday was on a Monday, so the Saturday before we went to Red Robin for dinner, yum! The kids really love that place. Then on Monday the kids gave him his presents that they picked out. I didn't get any pictures of them, but April got him a french fry cutter (he's been making some very yummy homemade french fries lately), Aaron got him a lego game called "creationary", and Aric got him a train book (that he hopes to read a lot with Daddy).
We didn't have his cake until Tuesday night when we knew his sister and her kids were coming to visit for a few days for spring break so we could have a little birthday party with them.
Here's Michele with his cake!
We didn't have 35 candles, but one of the kids asked me why I only put 8 on. Can you figure out why?
I was very excited about making this cake for him because I found all these Phineas and Ferb characters at the Disney store. We have been watching a lot of Phineas and Ferb around here, and Michele seems to really like it. It really is a funny little show, so I thought it would be fun to make him a fun cake. All the kids thought it was way fun too.
And for those of you who are familiar with this show, here is some Phineas and Ferb humor: I call this the cake-inator...
Bunco birthday party
In early March we celebrated Michele's birthday with some friends at a Bunco birthday bash. He and 3 other friends of ours had birthday's in the month of March, so Emily threw an awesome bunco party for all of them.
All the birthday people. Shaun, Jenn, Jay, and Michele. It was a fun night. |
Each cake had 2 names, this was the one that had Michele's name. He's called Mike by most friends. So cute! Emily is so creative! |
Happy Birthday!
This is only the beginning of the birthday season in our house. All the kids' birthday's are coming up fast. It starts with Aaron's in May, he's very excited to turn 5.
