Here she is with one of the gifts from Grandma, a mood necklace.
This is the cake, definitely didn't come out as pretty as the picture, but she still loved it. Looked very festive.
Lots and lots of candy and junk food. With the food we tried to do big and little of each thing so there would be some doll sized food. The picture above is big and mini m&m's.
April set up some doll stations to play with the dolls at. This was kind of a last minute idea, but it would have been fun to come up with some more if we'd had more time. The picture above is the travel center complete with a real tiny passport for the doll, and tiny tickets for an airplane.
And, if the girls wanted to take their dolls for a horsey ride, there's a horse arena. There was also a doll "closet" for new clothes, a doll tea party, and a doll movie theatre. At the end we watched part of an American Girl movie, Kit Kittredge, with the extra time at the end. I didn't get a picture of the girls with their dolls and I wish I'd had. Oh well.
Happy 9th Birthday!!
