We
had a little rain gutter regatta for the boys this month at pack meeting. Obviously they didn't go all out on the "boats," they are just recycled water bottles, but it worked. The boys still had lots of fun.
Aaron racing his friend...
Of course Alex had a blast too. He wanted to do it over and over again, and kept getting back in line. He thought it was pretty neat idea to use a straw to blow a water bottle down a gutter of water.
Aric gave it a try too. He also thought it was great.
The webelos were in charge of snack, so that meant that I was in charge of it this time because I forgot to talk to the boys about them bringing it. So, I had fun making these blue jell-o cups with orange slice boats to go with our boat theme. Aaron helped me with all the sails. Another Mom did offer to help me with the snack, which I was grateful for, so she brought some cookies to go with the jell-o cups.
Aaron has been having a lot of fun in cub scouts. His den went to the police station a few weeks ago, and he has been learning all kinds of new things to pass off his requirements. I'm enjoying being an assistant too. I feel like I'm getting to know the cub scout program more, and that helps me to help Aaron as well.

Bauman Farm pumpkin patch and fall camping trip
Wow, it has been a while since I've posted here! I've been posting at our homeschool blog pretty regularly, but not much here because it has been busy with getting school up and going, so a lot of life is revolving around that.
We are also full swing into Fall/Autumn activities and life, and this week we had the opportunity to go to our local pumpkin patch with our homeschool group. It was fun, as usual. The kids got all dressed up in their favorite farm garb, all on their own free will. I loved it for pictures! Aric was the only one without a plaid shirt because he just doesn't have one.
We also went on our fall camping trip at the beginning of this week. I just love camping in the fall. It makes for a fun last fling before we put our camping gear away until next spring/summer.
